Cold War Kids Interactive Video
Four different arrangements have been recorded, allowing the viewer to choose how exactly they want the song to be heard. Blue, blue, yellow, yellow is the best combo.

Absolut Vodka Advert

May 22, 2010

This is one of my favourite adverts right now. I think the idea of creating typography from different areas of the world with different climates and landscapes is innovate and the process of creating the type is intriguing.

This is a poster based on the theme ‘Britishness’ I decided to take the aspect of the full breakfast. I used variable point size to enhance the main elements within the full breakfast and create the outline of the UK. Colour has been added to represent the colour of the ingredients. Overall I’m quite pleased with the outcome.

Follow the link below to see the animation of the poster forming, not entirely happy with it, need to adapt the ending.

Upstairs

Upstairs

This was on the wall in the design Museum. Limited words have been used and the zigzag line with a ‘2’above it clearly communicates with the viewer that Jan Kaplicky’s work is on the second floor. The tones of blue work well together and the layout of type is positioned nicely with the stairs.

I loved this interactive bin. The green rabbit encourages the idea of being eco-friendly. There is a movement sensor just above the bin and its ears light up when you put rubbish in.

I particularly liked the front cover of this book by Nigel Coates. The overlapping text is enticing and makes the reader turn their head to read all of the information. The idea of it looking like a luggage tag is also in context with the title of the book and therefore makes an effective design.
